JWW Run - AKC Nationals

Another beautiful run but a bar came down just before the weaves. I pushed all the way through the course as hard as I could. Except for the opening turn our turns were pretty darn tight and impressive!!

STD Run - AKC Nationals - Concord, NC

This was one of our best runs from the Nationals. I pushed for speed and got everything I could get but unfortunately Sonic was faltered on the teeter. Looks like he left earlier than he normally does. Nevertheless it was such a fabulous run!! I am very proud of my Sonic !!

I want to give a special thanks to Susan Garrett, Greg Derrett & Laura Derrett for all their instruction. I cannot tell you what an impact their seminars have been on my handling. This run was a result of all the work I have done with them in the last 3 years and to people like Helen King, my poodle friend, who has always been there for advice and help on handling and training.

Sonic Retrieving a Duck from a River

This is a video of Sonic FIRST time on a duck and retrieving from a river with a VERY strong current. How do I know it was strong?? In one of the final videos we shot... the current swept Sonic too far down the bank into tree stumps and brambles and I went in to help him and SAVE THE FAKE DUCK :) I end up falling into the river up to my eyeballs as the river bed just gave way to me and I found myself being swept down the river with the current. I got to Sonic - grabbed him - dove for the duck and start back up stream. Luckily it was shallow and I was able to walk. I could barely walk through the current up stream. How on earth Sonic manage to do what he did was AMAZING!!! This is a dog with a EWE neck :))) LOLOL

WORLD AGILITY CHAMPIONSHIPS - BELGIUM - Individual Jumping (All Round) Course Map

WORLD AGILITY CHAMPIONSHIPS - BELGIUM - Individual Jumping (All Round) - 3rd Place BRONZE

This is the World Agility Championships in Belgium - Individual Jumpers were we placed 3rd for the BRONZE once more. Nice run - really open course. Unfortunately we lost time over the broad jump again and went wide. I think we lost the SILVER on that turn.

WORLD AGILITY CHAMPIONSHIPS - BELGIUM - Individual Agility (All Round) Course Map

This is the Individual Agility Class (All Round) course map. Video is below.

WORLD AGILITY CHAMPIONSHIPS - BELGIUM - Individual Agility (All Round) Video - 3rd Place

This is the World Agility Championships (WAC) Individual Agility class (All Round) in Belgium where we placed 3rd. We opened up beautifully and executed 3/4 of the run flawlessly - we were steaming. Unfortunately when we got to the teeter is where we lost the GOLD medal!! The day before in practice we were able to get the dogs on the equipment, both Sonic and Jib just flew off the teeter like they had never seen one before. We were able to get good performances on the teeter consequently but as this was the first run on a teeter and I babysat it just in case. This left me flat flooted for Sonic and he blasted off the teeter leaving me behind. Nonetheless we took a 3rd place in this and hit the podium with a smile.

We had an exceptionally successful weekend. This is an awesome run from this past weekend in Perry, GA. We completed the course in 34.35 seconds and the yps??..... 4.978!!! He won the class and beat out his nearest competition by 3 seconds - which by the way was another miniature poodle, Kenda from Texas (Flash Paws!!). It was a great feeling to finally see all our hard work come together. Sonic qualified in 3 out of 4 standard runs earning his MX title!
